Interested in singing with us?

Don’t let the audition process intimidate you! The audition is a brief, 10-minute session with the Artistic Director that includes pitch matching and vocal exercises to assess your vocal range. Prospective members are also asked to sing “The Star Spangled Banner” in its entirety a cappella. (Lyrics are available at the audition.) While choristers must be able to read music, you will not be asked to sight-read during the audition.

Auditions are held in early fall and in January, after the holiday break. Membership in the Chorale requires attendance at Monday evening rehearsals throughout the season, as well as a commitment to learning your music outside of rehearsal.

Auditions for the 2026-2027 season will be held on the evening of September 8, 2026 in the Music Suite of First Presbyterian Church. To reserve an audition time, please email Janice Smith at executivedirector@tylercivicchorale.org. We look forward to meeting you!
